Take a summer day in June, add cold air aloft, and the soft powder-like soil of the Willamette Valley, and you have the makings of a unique weather event. The lapse rate went crazy for a few hours, and the entire 100 mile long valley was filled with dust devils. I shot a series of photos from Peterson Butte of huge thermals sucking up dirt into the heavens. About a dozen funnels are visible, a large farm tractor at the bottom of the biggest cone gives some scale. A very unique photo!

You can buy this image in a variety of print sizes from a standard 12" x 18" up to 30" x 40", though I do recommend the larger print sizes, they look amazing and are really the best deal. Bigger IS better!

In metric measurements, a 12" x 18" inch print is 30.5cm x 46cm, a 20"x30" inch print is 51cm x 76cm, and the 30"x40" inch print is 76cm x 102cm.

Please allow an extra week or longer for delivery of prints, they are created on-demand and printed in small batches, and are not stocked.

All posters are shipped either flat or in a crush-proof photo mailing tube to prevent damage. Because the prints are light weight, the shipping fee is about the same as DVDs,very inexpensive. U.S. shipping is about $5.00, International Airmail is from $5.00 to $12.00, depending on your location. The final shipping charge will be calculated and shown at check-out.

Each digital print is produced on Fuji Crystal Archive Super-Type photo paper on a Durst-Theta digital high resolution printer (not an ink jet!) and have an 80 year color-fade rating. The framing or mounting of prints is not offered, so don't ask! Buy your own DIY frame or have your local framing business do it for you if you want that high-end look. I just use tacks or poster putty to mount mine.
