I'm Paul Naton, (that's not me in the photo) and I have been flying R/C gliders since 1988, and when I was starting out, there was almost no information available to learn to build and fly these things.  I was really lucky to live in San Diego, California which was the center of soaring activity in the U.S., so I had some experienced guys around to show me advanced soaring techniques.

My learning curve was still long and painful, I destroyed my fair share of planes and it took me a long, long time to figure how to thermal a handlaunch glider. As I got more into producing glider movies, I wanted to produce some instructional videos so others starting out in the sport could get a big head start in expanding their skills as builders and pilots.
